About me

I was born along South Parade, Croft-on-Tees near Darlington, County Durham and apart from a brief love affair with New Zealand in my early 30's I have always been proud to say I’ve lived in the North-East ever since.

When I was sixteen, I was asked the ultimate question by the careers officer, “What do I want to do with my life?” At that time as a young kid I was only interested in three things, football, motorbikes and girls. Although not necessarily in that order!

After being told at the time there was no money in football, (yeh right!), and most don’t make it, combined with the fact I’d once stripped a moped engine to bits, I was pointed in the direction of the local garage, and stayed in the motor trade for the next ten years.

I knew from an early age that this wasn’t exactly what I wanted to do but like a lot of people, I didn’t have much hope or think I could achieve any more than I was experiencing.
I thought that this was just how life was.

Due to my ‘beliefs’ about myself, my expectations were low and that’s exactly what I got back from life.

One day after walking despondently around Darlington town centre, I came across a bargain basement bookstore.

In the window, a dusty hardback book entitled “How to win friends and influence People”, and “How to stop worrying and start Living” by Dale Carnegie was displayed. Although not having read a book since leaving school, I was intrigued by the title and bought it. I couldn’t put it down. I was like a sponge absorbing the stories and examples.

That one book was the starting point of turning my life around, and my never-ending journey of self-improvement.

Since then I have read over 357 books on self-development, the psychology of success and achievement, coaching, marketing, sales, wealth, and business.

I have attended seminars, some in the L1000's and have personally spoken to and been trained by people such as Brian Tracy, Peter Thomson, and Christopher Howard.

Today, motivated by my own “story” I have been passionately fascinated about helping people overcome their own self-limiting beliefs about what’s possible for them in their own lives.

I believe your life should be fun, challenging and exciting and while you’re in this world your ultimate goal is to become the happy, successful and loving person you know you were meant to be……
